No.1 to 6 to conduct an enquiry in respect of land situated in Survey Nos.126 to 184, 135, 145 and 146, 154, 172, 169, 183 and 178, Saravambakkam Village, Madurantakkam Taluk, Chengalpattu District, and thereafter to confiscate the lands in all Survey Numbers illegal occupier and to distribute the same to the real beneficiaries of the same village.

ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) This public interest litigation is misconceived, inasmuch as the issue with regard to legality and validity of the order of allotment of land to beneficiaries is pending consideration in various fora.

2. It is placed on record that aggrieved by the order passed by the Land Tribunal, the owner of the land has filed a revision petition under Article 227 of the Constitution of India before this court, being CRP No.667 of 2025, and the same is pending

consideration.

3. It is also placed on record that the petitioner herein has already filed a revision under Section 82 of the Tamil Nadu Land Reforms (Fixation of Ceiling on Land) Act, 1961, which is also pending consideration before the Commissioner of Land Reforms.

4. In view of the above disclosure, the petitioner cannot be allowed to approach this court by way of public interest litigation raising the same issue which is pending consideration before the other forum.

Without expressing any opinion on the merits, the writ petition is dismissed. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, interim applications stand closed.
