(Order of the court was made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) Heard Mr.M.Vivek Kumar, learned counsel for the petitioner; Mr.A.Edwin Prabakar, learned State Government Pleader, appearing on behalf of respondent 1, 3 to 5; Mr.S.Sivashanmugam, learned counsel for the second respondent; and Mr.Alagu Gowtham, learned counsel for the sixth respondent.
2. The petitioner is challenging the nomination filed by the seventh respondent. The elections have taken place in the year 2022. The representation is filed on 11.11.2023. The candidature of the seventh respondent is sought to be challenged.
3. The petitioner contends to be a voter. There is a limitation provided for filing election petition. The petitioner may take appropriate proceedings as may be permissible under law. In that event, all contentions are kept open.
The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. There shall be no
order as to costs. Consequently, W.M.P. (MD) No.9343 of 2024 is closed.
