Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a writ of Mandamus or any other writ or order or direction in the nature of writ, directing the respondents to settle terminal benefits of the petitioner of a sum of Rs.12,00,000/- towards Gratuity, a sum of Rs.30,000/- towards Social Security Scheme, a sum of Rs. 6,50,000/- towards commutation and Earned Leave of 130 days a sum of Rs.2,25,000/- towards leave salary, a sum of Rs.4500/- towards Erode Engineering College amount and Perundurai Medical College amount and altogether a sum of Rs.21,09,500/- with interest at the rate of 6% per annum taking into consideration of the representation of the petitioner dated 16.04.2019 and pass such further or other orders.

The petitioner filed the Writ Petition seeking direction to the respondents to settle terminal benefits of the petitioner of a sum of Rs.12,00,000/- towards Gratuity, a sum of Rs.30,000/- towards Social Security Scheme, a sum of Rs. 6,50,000/- towards commutation and Earned Leave of 130 days a sum of Rs.2,25,000/- towards leave salary, a sum of Rs.4500/- towards Erode Engineering College amount and Perundurai Medical College amount https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
and altogether a sum of Rs.21,09,500/- with interest at the rate of 6% per annum taking into consideration of the representation of the petitioner dated 16.04.2019
2. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that petitioner is an retired employee, till date his terminal benefits are not settled for which he made representation to the first respondent.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would further submit that it would be suffice to issue direction the the first respondent to pass orders on the representation dated 16.04.2019 submitted by the petitioner on merits and in accordance with law within a reasonable time.
4. Without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case and considering the limited request made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, I am inclined to issue direction to the first respondent to pass orders on the representation dated 16.04.109 submitted by the petitioner and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
