Arulmigu Sri Balavinayagar, Sri Balamurugan and Arulmigu Sri Sengeni Amman Temple at Thazhangadu Village, Tindivanam Taluk, to be held on 26.8.2015 to 28.8.2015 and also direct the 5th respondent to supervise the said festival.

O R D E R

(Order of the Court was made by The Hon'ble Chief Justice) The Lord is also not left in peace. That is also an occasion for different sections of society to battle it out and this has occurred year after year in respect of the temple in question, where a section of society claims exclusion while another section says to the contrary.

2.The First Bench had earlier passed orders on 20.08.2014 asking the administration to look into the grievance of the petitioner and to specify what arrangements can be made for public to pray in the temple. Peace meetings were held and the matter was worked out. But, history repeats itself.

3.Once again, the celebrations are scheduled for 26.08.2015 to 28.08.2015 and trouble is brewing inter se the groups. Learned Additional Government Pleader informs us that efforts through Peace Committee meetings have been taken to resolve the issue. 4.We must emphasize that maintenance of law and order must take primacy. Either in peace committee meetings, different groups take a reasonable stand and are able to resolve the issue of how all can pray without hindrance. If, however, the authorities feel that there is threat to peace, they would be well within their rights to cancel the celebrations and stop access to the temple for the larger good of society, so that the Lord does not see the spectacle of different groups fighting over the celebrations in the temple. 5.Writ Petition, accordingly, stands disposed of. No costs. Consequently, M.P.No.1 of 2015 stands closed.
