PRAYER: Contempt Petition filed under Section 11 of the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971 praying to punish the respondents for wilful disobedience of the orders passed in W.P.No.15106 of 2021 on 01.09.2021. O R D E R
(Order of the Court was made by S.M.SUBRAMANIAM, J.) The Contempt Petition has been instituted to punish the respondents for their wilful disobedience of the orders of this Court dated 01.09.2021 in W.P.No.15106 of 2021.
2. This Court passed the following order:-
7. In the light of the prayer sought for and the submissions of the learned counsels appearing on either side, we hereby direct the fourth respondent to conduct survey in the disputed area after issuing notice to the petitioner as well as the sixth respondent within a period of four weeks. If any encroachment is found, the fifth respondent is hereby directed to act upon the report of the fourth respondent and remove the encroachment in accordance with law.

3. As on the date of passing of order, this Court was not informed about the details of the encroachment. This Court directed the Authorities to conduct survey and, if any, encroachment is found, actions are directed to be initiated.
4. The compliance affidavit filed by the 4th respondent would show that the there was an encroachment by constructing steps in the Government land. It is further stated that the steps were already demolished and encroachments were removed.
5. If at all any further encroachments are identified in the opinion of the petitioner, the petitioner is at liberty to file a complaint. Since there is no wilful disobedience of the orders of this Court established, the present Contempt Petition stands closed. Consequently, the connected sub-application also stands closed.
