ORDER
By consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.
2.The petitioner retired as Poclain Operator in the services of the respondent on 30.04.2012 and according to him, he has rendered 29 years of hard, sincere and blemishless service to the satisfaction of superior officers. The grievance expressed by the petitioner is that he has not been paid any amount towards encashment of earned leave and in this regard, submitted a representation dated 18.02.2015 to the respondent and since no response is forthcoming, came forward to file this writ petition.
3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner has drawn the attention of this Court to the common order dated 26.11.2014 made in W.P.Nos.30949 to 30953 of 2014 and would submit that in similar facts and circumstances, this Court has directed the respondent to consider and dispose of the representation on merits and in accordance with law and similar order may be passed.

4.Heard the submissions of Mr.R.Ravichandran, learned Additional Government Pleader, who accepts notice on behalf of the respondent. 5.This Court, taking into consideration the limited scope of the prayer sought for by the petitioner and without going into the merits of the same, directs the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 18.02.2015 on merits and in accordance with law and pass orders within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner. The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
