ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the respondent police to file a final report before the competent court of law in Crime No.41 of 2020 pending on the file of the respondent.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that despite the FIR has been registered in Crime No.41 of 2020, the investigation has not been completed and final report has also not been filed.

3. Mr.Leonard Arul Joseph Selvam, learned Government Advocate (crl.side) appearing for the respondent would submit that this is a case of chain snatching. Though the respondent https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

police has taken every steps to secure the accused, the identity of the accused is not established.

4.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (crl.side) appearing for the respondent.

5. This Court is of the view that when the accused is not detected , there cannot be a direction to file the final report immediately. However, the respondent police is directed to expedite the investigation and file a final report.

6. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
