ORDER

The petitioner seeks for a direction upon the respondents to grant patta in respect of 0.50 cents situated in Survey No.56/1D/4, Varatharajapuram, Sriperumbuthur Taluk, Kancheepuram District.

2. Admittedly, the land in question is described as "Maikal Poramboke" in the revenue records. Under such circumstances, this Court cannot compel the respondents to issue patta. However, the second respondent, by proceedings dated 10.10.2014, has forwarded the representation of the petitioner to the first respondent to take necessary action.

3. In the light of the above, the first respondent is directed to consider the petitioner's representation dated 18.11.2014 on merits and in accordance with law and pass a reasoned order as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
