Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, to call for the records and to quash the proceedings in C.C.No.85 of 2017 pending on the file of the learned XVIII Metropolitan Magistrate at Saidapet, Chennai, in the interest of justice.

O R D E R

This petition has been filed to call for the records and to quash the proceedings in C.C.No.85 of 2017 pending on the file of the learned XVIII Metropolitan Magistrate at Saidapet, Chennai, in the interest of justice.

2. The learned 18th Metropolitan Magistrate, Saidapet has submitted a report dated 26.06.2019.

3. Taking into consideration, the report filed by the learned Magistrate, time for the disposal of the case in C.C.No.85 of 2017 is extended finally for a period of three months. The petitioner is directed to surrender before the Court below and recall the non-bailable warrant issued against him. If the prosecution is not able to produce the witnesses LW1 to LW3, the Court below is directed to proceed further with the case and complete the proceedings within the time stipulated by this Court.
