O R D E R

The present criminal original petition has been filed seeking a direction to the 3rd respondent police to register a case based on the petitioner's complaint dated 09.10.2015 and investigate the same in accordance with law.

2. The petitioner has lodged a complaint as against one Doss on the allegation of theft. Though the said complaint was given on 09.10.2015, till date no action was taken. Hence, the present petition has been filed.

3. Today, when the matter is taken up for consideration, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that on the basis of the complaint given by the petitioner, a case has been registered in Crime No.3987 of 2015 for the alleged offence punishable under Section 379 IPC and the same is under investigation.

4. Since a case was already registered on the basis of the complaint given by the petitioner, the prayer that has been made in the present petition has become infructuous. Hence, the criminal original petition is closed.
