Admit. Mr. R.Vijayakumar, learned Additional Government Pleader, takes notice for the respondent. By consent of the learned counsel for both sides, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2. The petitioner would state that, while he was working as Deputy Collector / District Backward Classes and Minorities Welfare Officer, Tiruppur, he was visited with the disciplinary proceedings, in the form of a charge memo and after full-fledged enquiry, the Enquiry Officer has held that certain charges have been proved. The Disciplinary Authority, namely, the respondent herein, vide order, dated 18.03.2015, has agreed with the findings of the Enquiry Officer in respect of charges 1 to 6 and granted an opportunity of further explanation / representation to the petitioner. Accordingly, the petitioner has submitted his further representation, dated 28.05.2015. Since nothing has happened thereafter, the petitioner has come forward to file this writ petition.

3. This Court heard the submissions of Mr.R.Vijayakumar, learned Additional Government Pleader, who accepts notice on behalf of the respondent.

This Court, by taking into consideration the limited scope of the prayer sought for in this petition and without going into the merits of the claim projected by the petitioner and in the light of the above facts and circumstances, directs the respondent to act on the further representation, dated 28.05.2015, submitted by the petitioner, and pass appropriate orders on it, in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, and communicate the decision taken to the petitioner.
