The petitioner has come forward with this Writ Petition seeking to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to consider and pass appropriate orders on the petitioner's application dated 30.08.2017 for the post of Anganvadi worker in Chinna Salamanatham Children Centre, Thimiri Panchayat, Arcot Taluk, Vellore District, in respect of which the petitioner was called for an interview on 14.09.2017 by the 2nd respondent. 2.
The case of the petitioner is that when the 1st respondent issued a Notification calling for application for the post of Anganvadi Worker in Chinna Salamanatham Children Centre, Thimiri Panchayat, Arcot Taluk, Vellore District, the petitioner has applied for the said post on 30.08.2017. Since the petitioner has possessed the requisite qualification as per the Notification, she was informed to take part in the interview held on 14.09.2017 in the office of the 2nd respondent. As the petitioner's residence is within half a kilometre from the Centre, it is stated that the petitioner has got a fair chance of selection. But till date, the respondents have not come forward to declare the results which prompted the petitioner to give a representation dated 15.09.2017, again on 07.10.2017 and lastly on 10.10.2017. The grievance of the petitioner is that if a direction is
given to the respondents to consider and pass orders on her representations, no one would be prejudiced. Hence, she has filed the present Writ Petition.
3.
Heard the learned Counsel for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents. 4.
Considering the limited prayer made in the writ petition, without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, this Court directs the respondents to consider the representations of the petitioner dated 15.09.2017, 07.10.2017 and 10.10.2017 and pass appropriate orders thereon, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this Order.
5.
With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
