ORDER

The petitioner has filed this Criminal Original Petition to call for the records relating to the FIR in Crime No.918 of 2011 pending on the file of the first respondent police and quash the same.

2. Today, when the matter was taken up for consideration, learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that in the case in Crime No.918 of 2011, after completion of investigation, charge sheet was filed and the same was taken on file by the Jurisdictional Court. Subsequently, after trial, the petitioner was acquitted from the charges by judgment dated 25.09.2015 by the learned VII Additional Sessions Judge, Chennai in SC.No.103 of 2015.

3. Since the charge sheet has already been filed in Crime No.918/2011 and the case ended in acquittal, nothing survives for adjudication in this matter. Hence, recording the submission so made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this Criminal Original Petition is closed. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is also closed.
