[Order of the Court was made by P.N.PRAKASH, J.] This writ petition has been filed seeking to direct the respondents to grant ordinary leave for two months to her husband, Sarfudeen, son of P.K.Abdul Salam, aged about 45 years, Convict No.6583, detained at Central Prison, Vellore. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

It is the case of the petitioner that her husband Sarfudeen, is a Convict Prisoner (Convict No.6583), detained in Central Prison, Vellore. The petitioner gave a representation dated 09.06.2021 for releasing her husband on leave under the Tamil Nadu Suspension of Sentence Rules, 1982 and it is the grievance of the petitioner that the respondents have not passed any order thereon and therefore, the petitioner has filed the present writ petition with the above prayer.

The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) submitted that the leave application was considered by the authorities and the same has been rejected by order dated 17.06.2021, which has been served on the petitioner as well on the Convict Prisoner. He further stated that he will serve a copy of the said order on the learned counsel for the petitioner.
Recording the same, this writ petition stands closed with liberty to the petitioner to challenge the rejection order, if so advised. No costs.
