Admit. Mr.R.Vijayakumar, learned Additional Government Pleader, takes notice for the respondents. By consent of the learned counsel for both sides, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
2. The petitioner would state that, he was initially appointed as Fireman, on 09.09.1996, in the services of the respondents and subsequently, he was promoted as Driver-cum-Mechanic. Vide the proceedings of the first respondent, dated 08.06.2015, the petitioner was further promoted to the post of Station House Officer (Transport) and posted at Chidambaram, Cuddalore District. The petitioner has also joined in the said post. Thereafter, the petitioner has submitted a representation, dated 24.07.2015, through proper channel, to the first respondent, stating that there is a vacancy of Station House Officer (Transport) at the State Training Center, Tambaram, Chennai, and he may be transferred and accommodated in that post. Since no orders have been passed on the said representation, the petitioner has come forward to file this writ petition. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
3. This Court heard the submissions of Mr.R.Vijayakumar, learned Additional Government Pleader, who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.
4. This Court, by taking into consideration the limited scope of the prayer sought for in this petition and without going into the merits of the claim projected by the petitioner and in the light of the above facts and circumstances, directs the first respondent to consider the petitioner's representation, dated 24.07.2015, on merits and in accordance with law, and pass orders on it, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, and communicate the decision taken to the petitioner.
