O R D E R

The present criminal original petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent police to register the petitioner's complaint dated 06.10.2015.

2. It is the case of the petitioner that her marriage was solemnized on 11.5.2014. Subsequent to the marriage, there was dowry harassment by the petitioner's husband. The petitioner's husband filed DOP.No.4 of 2015 for divorce. On 04.10.2015, it is alleged that the petitioner's husband along with rowdy elements came to the petitioner's house and threatened her to give mutual consent in the OP filed by him. Hence, the petitioner lodged a complaint with the respondent police on 06.10.2015. But, till date, no action has been taken on the said complaint. Hence, the present petition has been filed.

3. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that no complaint was received from the petitioner. Further, he has submitted that the allegation made in the complaint appears to be family dispute.

Considering the submissions made on either side, this Court directs the petitioner to submit a fresh complaint along with a copy of this order to the respondent, within one week from the date of receipt of this order and on receipt of the same, the respondent is directed to enquire into the matter and proceed further in accordance with law as early as possible. During the course of enquiry, if the respondent comes to a conclusion that the matter is purely family dispute, the respondent is directed to pass appropriate orders on the said complaint. The criminal original petition is ordered accordingly.
