M/s.K.K.Rice Mill Represented by its Proprietor K.Karthikeyan 8/105, Aravangudiiruppu Nallur Post, Alankulam Taluk Tirunelvei Dist. - 627 853 : Defendant / Respondent Application praying that this Hon'ble Court be pleased to grant leave to the applicant and to receive the Attested true copies of Ex.P2 to Ex.P4 furnished by the Police in place of the Office copies of the documents marked as Ex.P2 to Ex.P4 in the above suit. This Application coming on this day before this court for hearing the court made the following order:

This application has been taken out by the plaintiff seeking to produce certified copies of the documents which have been marked as

Ex.P.2, 3, and 4. The plaintiff had actually produced self attested office copies of the letters and they were marked as Ex.P.2, 3, and

4. However, the respondent/defendant had objected to the marking of those documents claiming that those documents do not contain the signature of the Director. Upon such objection, the plaintiff has applied to the Police Department, in whose custody the original documents were available for issuance of certified copies. Since the concerned Police Department refused to issue certified copies, the applicant approached the Madurai Bench of this Court and upon directions of this Court, certified copies have been issued by the Police Department. Leave is sought for to produce those documents as additional documents.

2. I do not see any valid objection on the part of the defendant for production of these documents. After all, these documents are produced from the custody of the Inspector of Police, Serious Crime Squad, Thirunelveli District. Hence, this application is ordered. The documents viz., letters dated 22.12.2008, 27.01.2009 and 27.01.2009 marked as Ex.P.2, 3 and 4 already are allowed to be produced as additional documents.
