Mr. Era Premnath, learned Government Advocate takes notice for the respondents. By consent, the main writ petition itself is taken up for disposal at the admission stage itself.

The petitioner has filed the above writ petition to issue a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to consider her representation dated 24.03.2017 and disburse the drought relief fund to her agricultural lands in Patta No. 1802 Re-Survey No. 66/1 measuring an extent of 0.25.0 hectares, Re-Survey No. 66/4 measuring an extent of 0.45.0 hectares, Re-Survey No. 71B/6 measuring an extent of 0.05.5 hectares, Re-Survey No. 71B/7 measuring an extent of 0.23.0 hectares, Re-Survey No. 71B/8 measuring an extent of 0.12.5 hectares, Re-Survey No. 71B/9 measuring an extent of 0.20.0 hectares, Rand re Survey No. 71B/10A of an extent of 0.08.5 hectares totalling to 1.40.0 hectares in kuppanatham Village Vriddhachalam & Taluk Cuddalore-District.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that inspite of the petitioner's representation dated 24.03.2017, the 3rd respondent has not passed any order so far.

4. Mr.Era Premnath, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents submitted that the 3rd respondent may be directed to consider the petitioner' s representation dated 24.03.2017 and pass orders in accordance with law within a time frame.

5. In view of the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, taking into consideration the limited prayer sought for in the writ petition, without expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of the case, I direct the 3rd respondent to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's representation dated 24.03.2017, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

With the above observation, the writ petition is disposed of . No costs.
