ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the respondents 2 and 3 to rectify the double entry/error in the revenue records pertaining to the properties morefully disclosed in the prayer of this writ petition, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

2. Mr.C.Jayaprakash, learned Government Advocate, accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.

3. As seen from the documents filed along with this writ petition, the representation of the petitioner seeking transfer of patta in the name of the petitioner has been rejected by the order of the 3rd respondent, dated 03.03.2026. Instead of challenging the said order, the petitioner has filed Page No.2 of 6

this writ petition only for mandamus seeking a direction to the respondents 2 and 3 to rectify the double entry/error in the revenue records for the very same properties, for which, the petitioner had earlier sought for transfer of patta.

4. When this Court expressed its view to the learned counsel for the petitioner, who would submit, on instructions, that liberty may be granted to the petitioner to challenge the order, dated 03.03.2026 passed by the 3rd respondent, rejecting the patta transfer application submitted by the petitioner and for consequential reliefs.

5. No prejudice would be caused to any of the parties, if such a liberty is granted by this Court. This Court is not expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioner's contentions.

6. For the foregoing reasons, this Writ Petition is disposed of by granting liberty to the petitioner to file a fresh writ petition before this Court challenging the order, dated 03.03.2026 passed by the 3rd respondent, rejecting the petitioner's patta transfer application for the Page No.3 of 6
