ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 1 to 3 to provide police protection to the petitioner and to his family members residing at Kausthubham, No.10/10A, Suruthi Enclave, Near Dhanalakshmipuram, Singanallur, Coimbatore 641 005, on the basis of the petitioner's complaint cum representation dated 04.04.2025.

2. The case of the petitioner is that he is residing with his family members in his own house called "Suruthi Enclave", which is situated in a posh area in Coimbatore city and the respondents 4 to 6 are antisocial elements, conducting illegal business and they are threatening the petitioner to give a ransom of Rs.10,00,000/- and also giving life threat to the petitioner and his family. In this regard, the petitioner has given a complaint / representation dated 04.04.2025 to the respondents 1 to 3 and since no action has been taken on the petitioner's complaint, he has come forward with the present writ petition. 2/4

3. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) for the respondents 1 to 3.

Considering the limited scope of prayer sought for by the petitioner, this Court, without going into the merits of the same, directs the respondents 1 to 3 to consider the petitioner's representation dated 04.04.2025 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
