..Respondent(s) Prayer: This writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the 2nd and 3rd respondents to conduct survey, measurement and boundary demarcation of the lands comprised in Survey No.324/10, Adhiyamankottai Village, Nallampalli Taluk, Dharmapuri

District, pursuant to the petitioner's online application bearing No.2026/0123/05/017562 dated 18.03.2026, after issuing notice to all concerned parties and Strictly in accordance with the provisions of the Tamil Nadu Survey and Boundaries Act, 1923, the Rules framed thereunder and Circular R.C.No.Q5/20403/ 2020 (SV) dated 15.03.2021, within a time frame as may be fixed by this Hon'ble Court, and Consequently direct the 5th respondent to provide police protection, if required, for smooth conduct of survey. ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the respondents to consider the petitioner's online application dated 18.03.2026.

Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner has made an online application dated 18.03.2026 to conduct survey and fix boundary stone in his property comprised in Survey No.324/10, Adhiyamankottai Village, Nallampalli Taluk, Dharmapuri District. However, the same was not considered, as on date. Hence, this writ petition.

3. Mr.M.Senthamizh Selvan, learned Government's Counsel accepts notice on behalf of the respondents and submitted that the petitioner's application dated 18.03.2026 will be considered within a period of eight weeks.

4. Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials available on record.

5. Considering the limited relief sought by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Court without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, directs the respondents 2 & 3 to consider the petitioner's online application dated 18.03.2026 and carry out a survey and complete the process, after giving prior notice to the petitioner and other aggrieved parties, if any, within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is open to the second respondent to request for police protection before the fifth respondent/jurisdictional police. If any such request is made, the fifth respondent/jurisdictional police is directed to provide an adequate police protection for conducting the survey.

6. It is made clear that this order is passed only for the purpose of issuing a direction to the official respondent to conduct a survey and lay boundary stones at the subject land. In the event any dispute arises regarding the possession of the subject property, the same has to be decided by way of filing a suit before the competent Civil Court.

7. With the above direction, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. 02-06-2026 Index: Yes/No Speaking/Non-speaking order VM To:
