Respondent PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 528 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, to fix the time frame for the disposal of the above C.C.No.31 of 2022 pending on the file of the Judicial Magistrate, Additional Mahila Court, Thiruvannamalai now transferred to District Munsif cum Judicial Magistrate, Kilpennathur and to conduct the speedy trial.

O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to expedite the trial in C.C.No.31 of 2022 pending on the file of the District Munsif cum Judicial Magistrate Court, Kilpennathur, which

was transferred from the file of the Judicial Magistrate, Additional Mahila Court, Tiruvannamalai.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials available on record.

3. Considering the limited prayer sough for in this petition, the District Munsif cum Judicial Magistrate, Kilpennathur, is directed to complete the trial in C.C.No.31 of 2022 and dispose of the same within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after receipt of the entire bundle from the Judicial Magistrate, Additional Mahila Court, Tiruvannamalai.

4. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
