ORDER

This petition has been filed seeking for transfer of further investigation in Crime No.156 of 2010.

2. It is seen from records that the Court below has passed an order on 25.03.2015 directing for further investigation.

3. The grievance of the petitioner is that in spite of the further investigation ordered by the Court below, there is absolutely no progress in the investigation and therefore, the present petition has been filed seeking for transfer of investigation.

4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor on instructions submitted that the further investigation is now carried on by appointing a new Officer and that the final report will be filed within a short time. The memorandum of the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Villupuram, dated 16.06.2019 is also placed before this Court and it is found that the Deputy Superintendent of Police has directed the Inpector of Police of Villupuram Town Police Station, to carry on with the further investigation.

5. The submission of the learned Additional Public Prosecutor is recorded and the memo placed before this Court is also taken on file. In view of the above development, no further orders can be passed by this Court and it is made clear that the Investigation Officer appointed by memo dated 16.06.2019, shall proceed further with the investigation and shall file a final report as expeditiously as possible.

6. This Criminal Original Petition is disposed of accordingly.
