Respondents Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a writ of Habeas Corpus calling for the entire records in connection with the detention order in Cr.M.P.No.21/Goonda/2020 dated 26.08.2020 passed by the second respondent herein against the detenu Sheik @ Sheik Abdulkadhar, aged about 38 years, S/o.Muhamed Ibrahim, who is now confined at Central Prison, Coimbatore and quash the same and direct the respondents to produce the body and person of the detenu Sheik @ Sheik Abdulkadhar, aged 38 years, S/o.Muhamed Ibrahim, who is

now confined at Central Prison, Coimbatore before this Court and set him at liberty.

ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by V.SIVAGNANAM, J.] The petitioner challenges the impugned order of detention in in Cr.M.P.No.21/Goonda/2020 dated 26.08.2020, detaining her husband as "Goonda" under Section 2(f) of the Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982.

2. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor reports that the order of detention passed against the detenu has been revoked by the Government by its order in G.O.Rt.No.4378, Home, Prohibition and Excise (XII) Department, dated 16.10.2020 and he has also produced a copy of the Government Order. Recording the same, this Habeas Corpus Petition stands closed.
