By consent of both parties, the present writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. Page No.1 of 4
2. The present writ petition is filed seeking a writ of mandamus to direct the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 10.03.2025 and to survey the land in S.Nos.68 and 67, admeasuring to an extent of 2430 and 1475 sq.ft respectively situated at Erukancheri, Perambur Taluk, Chennai.
3. At the outset, it is submitted that the petitioner has taken out an application and has paid the appropriate survey fee. The learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondents would submit that the survey would be carried out and a report would be submitted within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The same stands agreed to by the learned counsel for the petitioner.
4. In view thereof, the writ petition stands disposed of with the direction to the respondents to carry out a survey, place boundary stones and complete the process within a period of 8 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order after giving prior notice to the petitioner, adjacent land owners and other interested parties including rival claimants if any. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any views with regard to the Page No.2 of 4
merits of the case and it is open to the concerned respondent to consider the matter on its own merits and in accordance with law. There shall be no order as to costs.
