Respondents Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of Writ of mandamus directing the 3rd respondent herein to issue Hindu, Malaikuravan - Scheduled Tribe (ST) community certificates to the petitioner's two sons namely, (1) A.Vediappan aged 18 years and (2) A.Jeeva aged 15 years, at the earliest.

ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by M.M.SUNDRESH, J.) The petitioner seeks a direction to the third respondent to issue a Scheduled Tribe Community Certificate pursuant to the representations made in the year 2018.

2.The representations of the petitioner are of the year 2018 viz., on 06.08.2019 and 20.08.2018. They have been addressed to the District Collector, Villupuram, and the Chief Secretary, Adi Dravidar and Scheduled Tribes Welfare Department, Secretariat, Chennai. Though a copy has been marked, it has not been specifically addressed to the third respondent-Revenue Divisional Officer, who is the competent authority.

3.In such view of the matter, the writ petition stands disposed of giving livery to the petitioner to give a fresh representation to the third respondent within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. On receipt of the same the third respondent shall take appropriate action within a period of six weeks thereafter. No costs.
