ORDER
This petition has been filed to issue a direction to the respondents not to harass the petitioners to settle the civil dispute.
2. The petitioner had sent a representation on 07.07.2021, they have been arrested by the respondent police.
3. The contention of the petitioners is that at the instance of one Kancherla Veerayya, the respondent police and his henchman namely, Adapa Veera Venkata Satya Suryanarayana @ Babulu, Peddireddy Uma Maheswararao harassed the petitioners. The respondent police came to the petitioners' house at odd hours and knocking at the doors of their house. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor (Puducherry) has submitted that in this case, there was a civil dispute between the petitioners and one Mr.Adapa Veera Venkata Satya Suryanarayana @ Babulu. The petitioners purchased a property and there is some dispute with regard to the payment of Rs.49,50,000/- for which, a complaint has been lodged. The petitioners were summoned on 07.07.2021. Despite the receipt of the summons, they have not appeared. On the other hand, they filed the present petition. Further, appropriate instruction is given to the respondent Police to not to interfere in the Civil dispute.
5. The learned counsel for the petitioners has submitted that the petitioners have not received any summons. If a summon is received, the petitioners undertakes to respond to the notice.
6. In view of the same, the respondent police is directed to issue notice only if the presence of the petitioners are necessary. Thereafter, the petitioners shall appear before the respondent police and produce necessary documents and give their explanation.
7. With the above directions, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
