Respondents Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of the Criminal Procedure Code praying to quash the First Information Report in F.I.R. No.199 of 2014 dated 28.03.2014 on the file of the first respondent based on the Memorandum of Compromise entered between the petitioner and the 2nd respondent.

O R D E R
The first respondent police registered a case in Crime No.199 of 2014 against the petitioner for offences under Sections 294(b), 323 and 506(i) IPC, on the complaint given by the second respondent.
2. It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the second respondent and the petitioner compromised the matter and a Memorandum of Compromise dated 12.01.2015 was also filed, wherein the second respondent has agreed not to pursue the complaint given by him and withdraw the complaint in Crime No.199 of 2014, on the file of the first respondent.

3. The second respondent is represented by his counsel and the petitioner is present before this Court and the petitioner has also admitted that he signed the Memorandum of Compromise and settled the matter with the second respondent. Though the second respondent is not physically present, it is submitted by the learned counsel for the second respondent that the second respondent is a practicing advocate and he has admitted that he has entered into a Memorandum of Compromise with the petitioner.
4. Considering the nature of offences and the Memorandum of Compromise entered into between the parties, this Criminal Original Petition is allowed and the F.I.R. in Crime No.199 of 2014 on the file of the first respondent is quashed. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
