The petitioner, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 13.03.2023 for the offences under Sections 8(c) r/w 20(b)(ii)(C), 27A and 29(1) of NDPS Act, 1985 in Crime No.18 of 2020 on the file of the 1/4
respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail.
2.The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner is the third accused in connection with seizure of 48 kgrms of ganja. 3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is an innocent and he has been falsely implicated in this case. The learned counsel further submitted that the other accused has already been granted bail.
4.However, this Court, on considering the quantity of contraband alleged to have been seized from the petitioner and the counter filed by the respondent, dismisses the petition with a direction to the trial Court to take up the trial, out of turn and complete it, as expeditiously as possible. 02.09.2025 ari To 2/4
