CORAM

THE HONOURABLE MR JUSTICE P.B. BALAJI Tr.CMP.No.357 of 2026 & CMP.No.10066 of 2026 M.Ramayee @ Meenakshi ... Petitioner Vs.

M.Raghavan @ Saravanan ... Respondent Prayer: The Transfer Civil Miscellaneous Petition filed under Section 24 of CPC, to withdraw HMOP.No.68 of 2026 from the file of the Sub Court, Kanchipuram to the file of the Family Court, Chennai. For Petitioner : Mrs.K.Sumathi For Respondent : Mr.A.Saravanan

ORDER

The petitioner is the wife, who seeks transfer of HMOP.No.68 of 2026 from the file of the Sub Court, Kanchipuram to the file of any of the Family Courts at Chennai.

2. Though the respondent has filed a counter affidavit, on going through the same, I do not find any serious objection for the request of transfer, excepting for the fact that the allegations in the affidavit filed in support of the

transfer application have been stoutly denied. Admittedly, the petitioner has to take care of her twin children, aged 14 years and it would be inconvenient for the petitioner to attend the proceedings before the Sub Court at Kanchipuram.

3. In the light of the above, the Transfer Civil Miscellaneous Petition is allowed and the case in HMOP.No.68 of 2026 is directed to be withdrawn from the file of the Sub Court, Kanchipuram, and transferred to the file of the Principal Family Court, Chennai, to be taken up either by the Principal Family Court Judge or to assign it to any of the Additional Family Court Judges, subject to the work load of the Family Courts functioning at Chennai. There shall be no order as to costs. Connected Civil Miscellaneous Petition is closed. 01.07.2026 ata Index:Yes/No Speaking/Non-speaking order Internet:Yes To 1.The Sub Court, Kanchipuram.

2.The Family Court, Chennai.
