Respondents Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus direction, directing the respondents to regularise the service of the petitioner in the post of Night Watchman on par with juniors and grant retirement benefits to the petitioner including pension and gratuity. ORDER

This Writ Petition is filed for directing the respondents to regularise the service of the petitioner in the post of Night Watchman on par with juniors and grant retirement benefits to the petitioner including pension and gratuity

2. Though this Writ Petition is filed for issuing a positive direction to the respondents, the learned counsel for the petitioner states that the petitioner will be satisfied if a direction is issued to the first respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 21.12.2020 within a time stipulated by this Court.

3. Having regard to the limited scope of the prayer that is now sought for before this Court by the learned counsel for the petitioner, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioner's representation or the case projected by the petitioner in the affidavit filed in support of the petition, this Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to the first respondent to consider the representation dated 21.12.2020 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
