..Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the Principal Secretary cum Commissioner of Revenue Administration and Disaster Management Department, Chepauk, Chennai 600 005, the 1st Respondent herein, to dispose of the Representation of the petitioner dated 20.08.2020, seeking promotion to the post of Deputy Tahsildar from the date of the promotion of her juniors and then to the post of Tahsildar within a time schedule.

2.Though this writ petition is filed for issuing a Writ of Mandamus to issue positive directions, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner states that the petitioner will be satisfied if a direction is issued to the first respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 20.08.2020, within a time stipulated by this Court.

3.Having regard to the limited scope of the prayer that is now sought before this Court by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioner's representation, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the first respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 20.08.2020 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
