ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the second respondent to provide police protection to the petitioner and to his property based on the petitioner's complaint dated 11.10.2015.

2. The petitioner has lodged a complaint as against one Thirupathi, his sons namely Sivan, Suresh, and one Murugesan and Selvam on the allegation that they have trespassed into the property of the petitioner and damaged the fencing and caused loss to the tune of Rs.50,000/- to the property of the petitioner. But till date the second respondent has not taken any action on the said complaint. The above said persons are continuously threatening the petitioner and his family members with dire consequences. Hence, the petitioner has come forward with the present petition.

3. When the matter was taken up for consideration, The learned Additional Public Prosecutor produced the letters given by the petitioner as well as the counter petitioner Nagesh stating that they have decided to settle the matter amicably among themselves and also produced a copy of the said letters and thus, he opposed for providing police protection to the petitioner.

4. In view of the submissions of the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, nothing survives in this petition. Recording the submissions of the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this Criminal Original Petition is closed.
