Respondents Prayer : - Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the 1st respondent to reclassify the land comprised in S.No.1176/3 situated Arachanure Village, Erode Taluk and District as Manthai Poramboke and consequentially direct the respondents 2 to 4 to assign the land comprised in S.No.737 situated at Archanure Village, Erode District an extent of 1.54.0 Hectares(3.80 acres) to the petitioner and issue patta to the said land in favour of the petitioner. O R D E R

The petitioner has made a representation dated 10.10.2012 to the respondents requesting them to pass a suitable order to re-

classify the land comprised in S.No.1176/3 situated at Arachanure Village, Erode Taluk and District as Manthai poramboke and consequently, to direct respondents 2 to 4 to assign the land comprised in S.No.737 situated at Archanure Village, Erode District. Since the said representation has not been considered by the respondents sofar, the petitioner has filed the present writ petition.

2. Heard Mr. K. Balu, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.K.Balamurugan, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents.

3. Though the petitioner has sought for a larger relief of a direction to the first respondent to reclassify the lands, the learned counsel would submit that it would suffice, if a direction to consider the petitioner's representation dated 10.10.2012 in this to the first respondent is given.

4. Under such circumstances, the first respondent is directed to consider the petitioner's representation dated 10.10.2012 on its own merits and pass orders in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. With the above observations, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected M.P.No.1 of 2013 is closed.
