ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by S.M.Subramaniam J.) The Review Application has been filed raising grounds relating to merits. 2.

The learned counsel for the Review Petitioner would submit that the grounds raised by the Review Petitioner are not considered in entirety. Readjudication of issues on merits are impermissible under Order 47 Rule 1 CPC. The scope of review cannot be expanded for the purpose of re-adjudication or fresh adjudication of issues on merits raised between the parties. In the event of an error apparent on record, the power of review is to be exercised.

In the present case, the petitioner is making an attempt to re-argue the matter on merits, which, in the opinion of this Court is impermissible under the review jurisdiction. Thus, the Review Application is dismissed. Consequently, the connected Miscellaneous Petition stands closed.
