PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C, praying to direct the second respondent to register the complaint dated 16.08.2020 vide C.S.R.No.396 of 2020 on the file of the R-8 Vadapalani Police Station, Chennai based on the petitioner's complaint.

The Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the second respondent to register the complaint dated 16.08.2020 vide C.S.R.No.396 of 2020 on the file of the R-8 Vadapalani Police Station, Chennai based on the petitioner's complaint 2.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that on receipt of the complaint dated 16.08.2020, the petitioner was issued with CSR No.396 of 2020 and after completion of enquiry, the same was closed on 02.09.2020. However, he further submitted that very serious allegations are made out in the complaint and even then, the second respondent https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

did not take any steps to secure the accused person. In the meanwhile, the petitioner approached the Civil Court as against the counter party for appropriate relief. Thereby, the second respondent police closed the CSR No.396 of 2020, only on the reason that the petitioner has approached the Civil Court for appropriate relief.

3.Considering the above submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this Court finds that this petition is devoid of merits. Accordingly, the Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. However, the petitioner is at liberty to approach the concerned jurisdictional Court by way of private complaint.
