O R D E R

The present criminal original petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to register a case in pursuance of the petitioner's complaint dated 05.10.2015.

2. In the petition, it has been stated that the petitioner is a widow and she is living along with her five daughters. Taking advantage of the same and with an intention to grab the petitioner's land, one Arun and his associates set fire on the house of the petitioner. Therefore, the petitioner has lodged the complaint on 05.10.2015. But, till date, the respondents have not taken any action. Hence, the present criminal original petition has been filed.

3. I have heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents.

4. Considering the submissions made on either side, this Court directs the respondents to conduct an enquiry on the complaint dated 05.10.2015 given by the petitioner and if there are materials indicating commission of offence, the respondents are also directed to investigate the matter and proceed further in accordance with law, as early as possible.

5. This criminal original petition is disposed of accordingly.
