O R D E R
This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents 1 and 2 to provide adequate police protection for ingress and egress of vehicles and people from in and out of the factory premises, further prevent and evict the trespassing workmen and members of the 3rd respondent union by ensuring no striking workers assemble illegally 2/6
in any form inside or in the radius of 500 meters from petitioner factory premises namely Plot No.P-1, M-5 & M-18, SIPCOT Industrial Park, Phase-II, Sunguvarchatram (P.O) Sriperumbudur Taluk, Kanchipuram Dist, Tamil Nadu 602 106 pursuant to the complaint of the petitioner dated 04.04.2025.
2. The petitioner is in the business of manufacturing, marketing and the sale of electronics and home appliances. It employs thousand of individuals, including permanent workmen, trainees and contract workers. A demand has been raised from the third respondent concerning the revision of wages and other related issues. In this regard, a conciliation process was initiated between the petitioner and the third respondent, however, the matter remains unsolved. Subsequently, the third respondent issued a strike notice and the petitioner apprehends that there may be obstruction to the ingress and egress of vehicles and workers. Therefore, the petitioner has lodged a complaint and also sought police protection. Based on the complaint, the first respondent has registered an FIR against the petitioner in Cr.No.67 of 2025 dated 20.02.2025 for the offences punishable under Sections 189(2), 126, 329 3/6
and 351(2)of BNS, 2023.
3. The learned Senior Counsel appearing for third respondent submits that so far the issues have not been resolved to date and therefore strike notice dated 02.04.2025 was issued. Through the notice, the petitioner was called upon to resolve the issues within a period of fourteen days, failing which the third respondent would proceed with the strike.

In view of the above, this Court is inclined to grant police protection to the petitioner's factory premises to ensure ingress and egress of vehicles and workers in and around of the factory premises. Furthermore, the third respondent is hereby restraining from conducting or participating in any strike by assembling a large number of persons within or in the vicinity of 200 meters from petitioner's factory premises.
5. Accordingly, the first respondent is directed to give police protection, upon payment of necessary costs to the petitioner's factory premises and ensure the safety of labourers.

6. With the above directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. 24.04.2025 Vv To
