This petition has been filed to direct the second respondent herein to register a case on the petitioner's complaint dated 24.03.2018 (C.S.R.No.47 of 2018)

2. Heard, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the petitioner is running a school in Thindalanur and he constructed a compound wall for the said school and at that time, the accused persons came with some rowdy elements and criminally intimidated the petitioner. Therefore, the petitioner has lodged the complaint before the second respondent on 24.03.2018, but, so far, no action has been taken.

4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor has submitted that the complaint is still pending for enquiry.

5. Considering the aforesaid submissions, the second respondent is directed to expedite the enquiry and if the enquiry reveals any cognizable offence, then he has to register the case and proceed in accordance with law. In case, the enquiry reveals only a civil dispute, the respondent has to direct the petitioner to approach the appropriate forum and get appropriate relief in accordance with law.

6.With aforesaid observations, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
