O R D E R

The present criminal original petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent to register a case in pursuance of the petitioner's complaint dated 28.08.2015 in C.S.R.No.835 of 2015.

2. In the petition, it has been stated that the petitioner has been an employee in Amazon Development Centre Private Limited since June 2013 till September 2015. She lodged the present complaint against her senior Associate viz., Sebastian Richard, who has uploaded the petitioner's picture along with certain vulgar comments in the Whatsapp. Since respondent police has not taken any action on the petitioner's complaint, she has come forward with the present petition.

3.When the matter was taken up for consideration, learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the petitioner's complaint was already forwarded to the Inspector of Police, Cyber Crime Branch, Chennai and the case is under investigation. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

4.I have heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent.

5.In view of the submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this Court directs the Inspector of Police, Cyber Crime Branch, Chennai, to conduct an enquiry on the complaint dated 28.08.2015 given by the petitioner and if there are materials indicating commission of offence, he is also directed to investigate the matter and proceed further in accordance with law, as early as possible.

6.This criminal original petition is disposed of accordingly.
