Respondents Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a writ of Habeas Corpus directing the respondents to produce the detenu Karthick, male, aged 41 years, son of Rajendran, now confined at the Central Prison, Trichy, as per the order of the preventive detention passed by the second respondent under Act 14 of 1982 before this Court and call for the records pertaining to the detention order of the second respondent in C.M.P.No.16/2021 dated 14.06.2021 and quash the same and set the detenu at liberty.

ORDER

[Made by P.N.PRAKASH, J.] The petitioner challenges the impugned order of detention in C.M.P.No.16/2021 dated 14.06.2021 detaining her husband as "Bootlegger", as contemplated under Section 2(b) of the Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982.

The learned Additional Public Prosecutor reports that the order of detention passed against the detenu has been revoked by the Government by its order in G.O.Rt.No.3426, Home, Prohibition and Excise (XV) Department, dated 03.08.2021 and he has also produced a copy of the Government Order. Recording the same, this Habeas Corpus Petition stands closed.
