ORDER

This writ petition has been filed in the nature of mandamus seeking a direction against the first respondent to consider the recommendation of the second respondent, who is the District Collector, Villupuram District, in proceedings bearing Na.Ka.No.A2/70640/2023 dated 14.12.2023. 2.

In the affidavit filed in support of this writ petition, it had been contended that the father of the petitioner unfortunately died in a vehicle blast, which occurred on 07.04.2007 in Tindivanam. The Government had announced to give compensation to the families of the victims. The petitioner had been appointed as Junior Assistant on 29.05.2009 and posted at Taluk Officer, Vanur. The petitioner also appeared for the promotional examination on 07.08.2013 and passed the same. His certificates were verified and he has also underwent a

training program in Bavanisagar Training from 17.09.2016 till 08.11.2016. It is stated that there was no signature or seal of the Secretary and Director of the Department in the X standard marksheet of the petitioner. The petitioner sent a representation seeking promotion. The recommendation had been given by the second respondent, which is now pending before the first respondent on and from 14.12.2024.

A direction is given to the first respondent to examine this particular recommendation of the second respondent dated 14.12.2023 in his proceedings bearing Na.Ka.No.A2/70640/2023 and pass appropriate orders on merits within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
