The Secretary to Government, Revenue and Disaster Management, Government of Tamil Nadu, Fort St.George, Chennai - 600 001 is suo motu added as the third respondent in this writ petition.
2. Mr.A.Selvendran, learned Special Government Pleader, takes notice on behalf of the impleaded third respondent.
3. This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to grant compensation for the death of the petitioner's husband on 16.11.2018 during Kajaa cyclone. 2/4
4. Heard Mr.P.Suresh Babu, learned counsel for petitioner and Mr.A.Selvendran, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for respondents.
5. The case of the petitioner is that her husband died during Kajaa cyclone on 16.11.2018 since the house collapsed due to heavy rain and cyclone. On the representation made by the petitioner, the second respondent, through proceedings dated 09.09.2019, recommended for payment of the compensation amount. Thereafter, there was no follow up and left with no other alternative, the present writ petition has been filed before this Court.
6. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and considering the proceedings of the second respondent dated 09.09.2019, there shall be a direction to the impleaded third respondent to deal with the claim made by the petitioner by taking note of the proceedings of the second respondent dated 09.09.2019 and a decision shall be taken within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

7. The petitioner is directed to make a fresh representation to the impleaded third respondent along with the relevant documents and also a copy of this order.
This writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
