ORDER
This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to direct the Learned Principal District and Sessions Judge, Thirupathur to consider the bail application on the same day on his surrender and file a bail
application in Crime No.157 of 2026 on the file of the Inspector of Police, Natrampalli Police Station, Natrampalli, Thirupathur District.
2. The case of the prosecution is that the de facto complainant, who is a Bank Manager at Union Bank, Vellore, had purchased a piece of Depressed Class Land situated at Natrampalli. When the de facto complainant intended to level his property on 17.02.2026, the petitioner along with another individual viz., Manohar Reddy, who is arrayed as accused No.1 came to the said land, abused him using filthy language, and stated that the persons belong to Scheduled Caste Community should not present in that area. They also attempted to assault him and threatened him with dire consequences.
3. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate for respondents.

In view of the specific bar under Section 18 of the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989 and also taking into consideration the possibility of misusing the pious intention of the Parliament against innocent persons, there shall be a direction to the jurisdictional Court, to consider the petitioner's bail application, preferably on the same day of their surrender, in connection with Crime No.157 of 2026 on
the file of the second respondent Police and to pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, after affording due opportunity to the victims under Section 15-A of the SC/ST (PoA) Act, 1989. The petitioner shall surrender before the jurisdictional Court within a period of fifteen days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
