Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for the issuance of writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 15.7.2013 requesting for transferring him to nearby place as mentioned in his representation.

O R D E R

The petitioner is presently working as a Noon Meal Organiser. He was transferred from Government High School, Thenmagadevamangalam, Kalasapakkam Panchayat Union, Thiruvannamalai District to Panchayat Union Elementary School, Namandhakuttai. According to the petitioner, the transferred place is more than 15 kms away from the original location and as such, it would not be possible for him to undertake journey to the destination and work there. The petitioner submitted a representation dated 15.7.2013 requesting the respondent to post him at a nearby place. However, there was no follow up action taken by the respondent, resulting in filing this writ petition.

2. The respondent is directed to consider and dispose of the representation submitted by the petitioner dated 15.7.2013 on merits and as per law. Such exercise shall be completed within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

3. The writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
