This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to transfer the investigation pending in Crime No.614 of 2022 on the file of respondent police.

2. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor, on instructions, submitted that the First Information Report was registered u/s.174 Cr.P.C. in view of the suspicious death. On completion of investigation, it was found that the deceased had committed suicide and hence, the closure report was filed before the Judicial Magistrate, Panruti on 24.03.2023. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor further submitted that the RCS notice is yet to be served on the petitioner.

3. In view of the above development, there shall be a direction to the respondent police to serve the RCS notice on the petitioner within a period of two (2) weeks from today. On receipt of the same, it is left open to the petitioner to work out his remedy by filing a protest petition before the concerned Court and proceed further in accordance with law. This Criminal Original Petition is disposed of with the above direction.
