When the contempt petition is taken up for hearing, the learned Government Counsel appearing on behalf of the second respondent has drawn attention of this Court to the compliance report affirmed on 25.06.2026.

The learned Government Counsel appearing on behalf of the second respondent has drawn attention of this Court to paragraph 8 of the compliance report filed by the second respondent, wherein the respondents mentioned the details of the payments made to the petitioner in compliance with the order of this Court dated 07.07.2022 in W.P.No.26058 of 2018, after the last date of hearing before this Court on 12.07.2024.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioner, having been furnished with a copy of the compliance report, submits that this Court may take note of the statement made in paragraph 8 of the compliance report filed by the second respondent and the contempt petition may be closed.

Having regard to the submission made as above, since the second respondent in the compliance report filed into this Court on 25.06.2026, having categorically made an assertion in paragraph 8 thereof as to payments made to the petitioner in July, 2024, August, 2024, September, 2024, December, 2024, June 2025, August 2025, January, 2025 and November 2025 as detailed in the said paragraph, this Court is of the view that the respondents have complied with the order of this Court though with a delay.
6. In view of the above, this Court is of the view that there is no necessity to pass further orders in the contempt petition.
