ORDER

By consent of learned counsel on both sides, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

The present writ petition is filed praying for a writ of mandamus to direct the 3rd Respondent to consider the representation dated 14.02.2025, in accordance with law and issue a Joint Patta in favour of the petitioners for the house property comprised in Survey No.257, for an extent of 2400 sq.ft., situated at Madhuravoyal Taluk, Porur, Alandhur SRO, Thiruvallur District.

3. It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioners filed a representation on 14.02.2025 seeking joint patta before the respondents. However, the said representation has not been considered so far by the 3rd Respondent. Aggrieved by the same, the petitioner has come before this 2/5

Court.

At the outset, it was submitted by the learned Special Government Pleader for respondents that the representation dated 14.02.2025, made by petitioners would be considered and appropriate orders would be passed within a time frame fixed by this Court, which was agreed to by the learned counsel for petitioner.

In view of the same, taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the limited relief sought for in this Writ Petition, there shall be a direction to the 3rd respondent, to consider the representation dated 14.02.2025, on its own merits and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, after putting the petitioner and any other interested parties/rival claimants on notice and after affording reasonable opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any views with regard to the merits of the representation and it is open to the concerned respondent to consider the representation on its own merits and in accordance with law.
