This petition has been filed seeking to accept and extend the time for a further period of three months to complete the investigation and to file the final report as per the direction given by this Court in Crl.M.P.No.19526 of 2023 in Crl.O.P.No.14529 of 2023 vide order dated 18.12.2023.

2. Learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) submitted that this Court by an order dated 07.07.2023 has directed the Investigating Agency to complete the investigation and to file a final report within a period of four months from 07.07.2023. Since there was some delay in completing the investigation, he seeks further time to comply with the order passed by this Court. This Court by an order dated 18.12.2023 has granted four months time to complete the investigation and to file the final report. Now the investigation has been completed and Draft Final Report is also ready and awaiting for approval of the same. Hence, he sought further time to comply with the order passed by this Court.

3. In support of the above prayer, Ms.M.Subashini, the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Vigilance and Anti Corruption Unit, Namakkal District, has filed the affidavit before this Court.

4. Considering the reasons and the request made by the investigating agency, this Court feels it appropriate to extend the time by one month.

5. Accordingly, this Criminal Miscellaneous Petition stands ordered and the time granted by this Court in Crl.M.P.No.19526 of 2023 in Crl.O.P.No.14529 of 2023 dated 18.12.2023 to complete the investigation and to file a final report is further extended by one month from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 09.07.2024 vkr Crl.M.P.No.7937 of 2024 in Crl.O.P.No.14529 of 2023 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis
