O R D E R

(Order of the Court was made by HULUVADI G. RAMESH,J.) This Writ Petition is filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 1 to 3 to issue Scheduled caste Community Certificate as belonging to Adi Dravida of Puducherry origin to the petitioner pursuant to his application dated 25.01.2016.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner. The learned Additional Solicitor General of India is directed to take notice for respondents 1 to 3.

The petitioner was selected for the post of Laboratory Technician and was granted an order of appointment on 18.01.2016, however, he was directed to produce a latest community certificate at the time of joining, therefore, he applied for issuing community certificate by application dated 27.01.2016. According to the petitioner, he has submitted all relevant documents and supporting material in proof of his community that he belongs to Scheduled Caste and is declared as Adi Dravida of Puducherry. The petitioner is before this court for issue of necessary direction to the respondents 1 to 3 to issue Scheduled Caste Community Certificate as belonging to Adi Dravida of Puducherry origin to the petitioner.

Having regard to the limited scope of prayer sought for in this Writ Petition, we direct the respondents 2 and 3 to consider and dispose of the application filed by the petitioner dated 25.01.2016. If need be, the respondents 2 and 3 shall make local enquiry and look into the supporting documents produced by the petitioner and do the needful in this regard within two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
